I purchased an Aqualung Legend LX ACD regulator, and I am planning on buying a couple high pressure tanks, Is it madatory I get Din Valve adaptors for the regulator? If so where can I purchase the adapter?

H2Andy:
however, modern yoke valves will handle a high pressure tank just fine

Are you sure about this?;)

The o-rings doesn't used to last long based on my experience. I mean when the pressure is over 3500 psi.... :D

oh, i'm not sure about over 3500 psi... but to the tank's rated pressure, yes, i think so

anyway, that's what i'm told

i'm pretty sure that the highest rated pressure out there (for mass production tanks) is 3500 psi, which a yoke valve will handle fine

Cheekymonkey:
Just to be a pain in the ***

a pain in the what?

i don't follow, i'm sorry.... could you spell it out for me?

:eyebrow:

actually... i remember now that there's a tank out there rated to like 4400 psi ... but can't remember who makes it

wow, I know I was reading there were some companies looking at putting out wrapped fiber tanks in the much higher range, closing in on 5 digits, but the problem is 1st stage regulators to keep up. They are already using super HP tanks like that for some firefighters though i'm told.

There's also the problem that they would be something like 20 lbs bouyant.

As I know, HP tank doesn't have ......(+/- 10%) thing. It is only applied to LP tank.

What brand of tanks do you have?
