I have been certified for 2 years but no dives am I to old to start in the sport. I heard most of these advanced divers started when they were 15 or so.

15 is actually too young to go it alone, on scuba. There really needs to be a parent present with these divers.

18 and up is a better time for certification.

What constitutes too old is subjective. Maybe at age 75 you might be too old.

I sure hope it's not too old! I am starting my cert class this saturday, but already have 1/2 dozen dive buddies lined up and am chomping at the bit to get in (and under) the water. Course I've been thinking about it since I was 11.

P.S. I'm 34 ;-)

No, 21 definitely isn't too old to get started. Most of my students (a number of whom have gone on to be outstanding technical divers) were older than that when they got their start. Dive a lot, learn a lot and most importantly- have fun!

Cause I looked at the minnimum age to start is 12 years old. Im still 20 but 21 in a week

If you think 21 is old, just wait til you hit 30!

You are never too old.

This has to be a troll.

21 is okay these days with all the medical advances and the cutting edge scuba technology. With an artificial hip and a pair of Twin Jets you'll be zipping around as spry as a 17 year old.

If you're too old at 20, why the heck did I get started at 44....look at all the time I wasted.........
