Hello all,
I just recently got back into diving and am loving having the scubaboard to research and learn from all you other divers. I would rather be diving more, but this is the next best thing.
I first dove on a family vacation to St Lucia when I was a middle schooler. Absolutely fell in love with diving even though the short class offered before diving wasn't all that helpful - "equalize your ears when they begin to hurt," was the guidance at one point. Later in college, I had the opportunity to take scuba as my phyed requirement. I completed my OW after the course and then did a few dives off of Zanzibar, Tanzania on vacation. Life got busy and after a few years away, I did a refresher course, bought some gear, and began taking classes. Since I got back into this fall, I have taken the SDI adventure and nitrox, SSI night/low viz, dry suit, and nav. I am currently wrapping up my research on switching to a bp/w. Had no idea people still used though until recently and I can not wait to get out of my bc! Look forward to learning from this site and its divers and hope to be able to contribute someday.
