Savedra Dive Center in Moalboal on the island of Cebu are looking for an Intern for a period of a least 6 months.
We are prepared to offer training at no cost for the following courses:
PADI Divemaster
PADI Instructor Development Course
PADI Tec diver training
In exchange we ask for a period of unpaid work for 6 months, your duties will include guiding dives, equipment repair and overhaul (we will teach you how), conducting divemaster and instructor level PADI programs/courses (once qualified to do so), blogging and marketing, assisting customers and sales.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a high level PADI 5 star dive center and gain some invaluable experience to kick start your career, you will gain experience in all aspects of the day to day running of this dive center.
The training will be provided at no cost, you will be asked to pay for your own course materials and certification costs. You can purchase these yourself from any PADI retailer or we can arrange this for you. We do expect you to own or purchase your own dive equipment.
Costs for certification and materials include:
Divemaster crewpack 10,000 PHP
Divemaster registration $154 AUD
IDC crewpack $655 USD
EFR instructor manual $140 USD
Instructor examination fee $730 AUD
OWSI registration $194 AUD
EFR-I registration $120 AUD
Tec diver manual $100 USD
You will also need to support yourself during training, your costs will include food, accommodation, travel, visas and other incidental costs. You are encouraged to research life in the Philippines before applying. monthly rents in Moalboal are around 10,000 PHP on average.
All applications will be considered on their own merit, however preference will be given to those who can speak more than one language.
