DIVE RESCUE SPECIALISTS HELPING VICTIMS OF HURRICANES KATRINA AND RITA COMING TO HARTFORD FOR MAJOR CONFERENCE
Wednesday, September 28 - Saturday, October 1​

HARTFORD, CONN., September 27, 2005 – An association of dive experts, some of whom have been working to rescue and recover victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in Louisiana and Mississippi are coming to Hartford, Conn. this week for their convention. The International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists (IADRS) will conduct their Annual Water Rescue Conference at the Marriott Hartford Downtown from Wednesday, September 28 through Saturday, October 1, reports the Greater Hartford Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Over 160 professionals representing multiple rescue and law enforcement agencies from throughout U.S. and Canada will attend this conference. In addition to attending lectures, participants will have opportunities to share information, discuss successes and near-misses, and learn how they can enhance their abilities while increasing team member safety.

The International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists is a non-profit organization with a mission to increase the safety of professional dive team members through the exchange of information and resources.
