I am not a frequent denizen of the Book of Face, but I came across something interesting in an old friend's feed. Even though this project has been ongoing for a good while, I didn't turn up anything in search, so I thought I'd drop it here ...

TL : DR An Italian fisherman came up with an idea to use emplaced physical obstacles to make trawling in legally excluded areas also impractical in order to prevent poaching. He accomplished it by cooperating to create an underwater sculpture garden.

Commentary: To generalize ... smart utilization of artificial "reefs" as habitat, protection, and likely a driver of awareness and economic benefit.
