Fibs... no, there are no fibbers around here! ;)

I've been diving for about 40 minutes... My computer is waterproofed and currently sitting at 15feet of water in La Jolla. This way I don't have to carry too much extension cable. Hehe.

To me the question is not how long I have been diving, but how long since the last dive. Last dive was a few days ago, which means it is time to suit up.

My wife and have been diving a looooooooong time now.
Well it has been as fun as if its been a long time. We both got certified yesterday. We are so new that I found out there are actually inserts in my flippers. Unfortunately this was after I had been diving all weekend.
Who would of thought a flipper needed a shoe horn. Looking forward to a great many years of diving and chatting on the board.

I agree with Mike...and the next question should be when is the next dive? In 5 days... yippee :p

Dwaine - LOL to your fin inserts... I almost did the same when using my new fins for the first time last weekend.

Mario - thought you kept your computer in the tub? =-x

kcb - I've been diving since April in the Gulf of Thailand. I love it here but would eventually like to get over your way and dive over there - I've been drooling over magazines showing the Caymans, Cozumel, Belize etc all weekend.

Cheers!

fins have horns???

I went diving today and will go again tommorrow

Seriously 7 years and have loved every minute of it.

Pretty funny guys! I'm sure the people from Texas will say that their rig diving is better than ours in Louisiana. I, of course, disagree. Where else in the world can you do two types of diving in one state? Bar diving on Bourbon Street in New Orleans and Rig diving in the Gulf! We are a little slow on the uptake as far as rig diving, but we're catchin' up in the Cajun State.

Tom, just let me know when you are coming, and I will book the trip of a lifetime for you and your wife. Unbelievable fish - Lemonfish, Manta Rays, Stingrays, Bull Sharks, (maybe Hammerheads, White Tipped Reef Sharks) Lobster, Redfish, Blue Fish, One Fish, Two Fish! If we're lucky, we may even have a trip to Bullwinkle - the largest rig in the Gulf - the size of a small city.

We are also breaking ground on the largest fish ever speared in the Gulf - A 490 pound shark.

Thanks for all the responses.

Let's not forget the other form of diving... best done in Sunny Southern California! ;)

We had wanted to go to Baja this year, but didn't make it. We subsequently heard that there was better diving of the islands of the peninsula.

What do you think?
