I would like to take the time to give a review of my class. First off let me say that I took Cavern and basic in April of 2007 and failed Basic. Looking back I had a lot of animosity about my instructors teaching. Although respectfully I was not ready the instructor did not put in the time to teach me it was more a review of my skills then an educational process.
Well, I went back in April of 2008 and took basic with Reggie Ross. My skills had some improvement but I was in no way a cave diver. Reggie would not give up on me he pushed me hard and spent the time to show me my mistakes and push me to a new level of diving. I felt the change and it showed in my form. The fact that he spent the time he did and never showed frustration or negativity speaks to his professionalism and dedication to his students.
I passed and feel as though I am a much better diver and am looking forward to doing the the rest of my cave training with him.
If you are looking for an instructor I strongly encourage you to talk to and consider Reggie.

Congrats!I have heard good things about R.R, but have never met him. There are some instructors that expect alot more out of you without them having to do alot of teaching.Others really want to see you sucseed[sp/] and will work with you as much as they can. Some students just arent ready.

I had the opportunity to translate some classes that RR was teaching back in 2001 (Reggie was sponsoring a Brazilian Inst candidate). RR is a great educator and an excellent cave diver!
