I am from the Washington, DC area, but travel to Tampa at least three times a month for business. My wife and I are heading to Curacao in November for a dive vacation. However, it has been a couple of years since I have dived. I have 40 dives logged, but would like to get my AOW certification prior to the trip. I figure it would be a good way to get refreshed, and raise my confidence level prior to vacation.

Can anyone suggest a good LDS with superb instruction? I was thinking of heading to Ginnie Springs, as I figured it would be a low stress way to ease back into things. However, I'm not sure if the instruction there is any good, or if I should look elsewhere.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

I'm going to pm you the name and number of someone I highly respect. He is also a boat captain, so can take you out on dives :)

Look elsewhere (not Ginnie Springs) for AOW. I don't see how you could get a realistic AOW there. Go to a place that simulates the type of AOW diving you espect to be doing in the near future.

Good point. Thanks for the advice. I will be a little schedule bound, so was looking for something convenient. I haven't dived the springs before, so wasn't sure.
