Hi guys,

My Z240 is connected to my housing via the fibre optic route rather than using the sych connector. As I will never use the sych connection does this mean that I can forget about checking the O ring there, or would it be sensibly to check it now and again ?

Thanks for your advice.

It would be best to check it (remove the cap) every couple of months) or after major trips to salt water locations. If not you may get a large build up and make it difficult to remove in the future.

You should care for the o-ring just like any other. It is possible salt water which is conductive could leak in and cause the strobe to fire. I had a leak on the other end of the sync cord and my flash would fire as soon as it recharged.
