I was looking at getting the Inon Z-240 strobe for my Olympus SP-350. I have the Olympus underwater case PT-030. Does anyone have experience with this setup? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. What are the differences between the 240 and the 2000?

BTW, the cheaper YS27DX works with the SP350. Its a manual strobe of course so you'd have to manually select power output. I currently have the Inon Z240 and it worked fine with my old SP350 as well. You can't beat their s-ttl. Its wireless, or driven by optical cable and works well. Probably would be overkill for the SP-350 unless you're using WA lense adapters.

Not sure what kind of advice you want... that is the same set-up I currently use with the optical cable. With patience and learning the manual controls it can lead to some nice pics.

In my signature is a link to my pics... I'm still learning but am happy with a lot of my shots.

Oooops, I'm signed under my wife's account... D'oh!!!

Ha ha, here's the LINK If you can view them, click slideshow, the pics will be much bigger.

Nice photos. I have to ask where you ran into so many seahorses in Coz? Nice shots, good lighting. loved the eel it was tack sharp.

Here's ya go... <--- Link

The site is a secret. :crafty: but I can give you a hint: It's very near the caletta.

If you can find a dive op that will let you search through the grass for 95 minutes at a time, I'm sure you'll have good luck with the seahorses too.

Thanks for the compliments...

thanks Jeff,
That was a nice read. Loved that baby frogfish. Anyway, I'll have to contact Christi the next visit in June.

It was one of those dives that I'm sure i will remember for the rest of my life... not much going on but poking around in the grass. LOTS of different critters than you'll see on the reefs. It's very gratifying when you can spot the stuff yourself... that frogfish was just a stroke of luck.

There was some sort of a puffer that shadowed us for a long time and was face to face with my wife (probably looking at its reflection)... unfortunately my battery was long dead at that point. THAT would have been a great picture :(
