BARE is introducing a line of SEALTEK hoods and gloves featuring liquid seam tape and a ring seal system designed to keep water out.
Even the best suits on the market cant keep a diver warm if their gloves and hood let cold water in, explains Tommy Aoki, Brand Manager for BARE. So, we set out to design a system that integrates seamlessly with a wetsuit or drysuit providing a tight seal and that eliminates water penetration along the seams. With SEALTEK, weve done just that. These are the finest hoods and gloves weve ever made.
The SEALTEK gloves and hoods uses two types of protection; SEAMTEK, a special liquid sealing tape on all exterior seams and SEALTEK, an innovative ring seal system that interlocks with a drysuit or wetsuits cuff or collar.
On the hoods, trimmable 3MM ELASTEK /GLIDESKIN around the neck and facial seal also prevents water from seeping in while still allowing the hood to slide easily over hair. Special vents allow any trapped air to escape.
We also worked hard to ensure our SEALTEK gloves provide maximum dexterity, so we used a unique four panel design to make them easier to get on and off and anatomically correct pre-curved fingers to reduce hand fatigue. And, as an additional line of defense, these gloves use GLIDESKIN-IN at the wrists. Our attention to detail and craftsmanship, just like all our products, should make these hoods and gloves very popular.
All SEALTEK hoods and gloves use BAREs FULL-STRETCH ELASTEK neoprene and the hoods are available in a 7MM or 5MM thickness in sizes XS-2XL. Gloves are available in 5MM and 3MM thickness and 2XS-2XL sizes.
