Divingnthedark: Thanks for the updated information, will do what you suggest. Also considering Blackbeards or Juliet in the near future. Don't mind the camping aspect as the wife and I doing "normal" camping anyway. Be Safe

Thanks for the information, I checked out site. Will be comparing between Juliet and Blackbeards as most likely will be going as single, wife not cert.(maybe soon).

Hi NJ,

You may already have this info, but I just joined the site and your post caught my eye. Although I have never been on it, I know people who enjoyed the "Ultimate Getaway" out of Ft Myers. They say the conditions are a little tight, but the trip was awesome. http://www.ultimategetaway.net/index.html

I'm actually a transplanted Jersey Girl, born & bred in Bayonne. If I had gotten certified when I still lived there, I may not have left. I didn't realize what was in my own backyard when I was there. What dives have you done in NJ?

I live in the Ft Myers area, if you have any questions about the area, feel free to ask. Hope the info helps.

Cheers!!
Kim

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the info., I already did check out the ultimategetaway site, just have not decided when or what I am going to do. At this point sounds like I can't get away for awhile due to work. But NJ diving will continune, I used to have my own boat, thats when I was doing alot of inshore wrecks offf Belmar out of Shark River Inlet. Also have done alot of diving in the inlet itself, just have to make sure you dive the posted hours and the ebb tide, nice easy dive.
