Gday All,
My name is Steve and I am looking for some info from anyone that has been working in the Commercial area.
I am a Rec/Instructor and have travelled round the globe for several years having a ball on our blue planet. I love my diving and have decided to head into a whole new area by gaining my commercial tkts up to ADAS 3 starting in Jan 09. I have a tade background with industrial experience and will soon have my dogging/rigging tkts. My aim is to head on to offshore projects, hopefully off Australia/Asia to begin with as I am from Perth but will be keen to travel almost anywhere.
I would love to hear from people who are, or have worked within the field. Any info will be appreciated. Looking for an insight on things such as:
Hot spots for work at the moment?
Length of stints?
Living conditions?
Info on an average day at work?
Pay?
Any ideas on handy courses/tkts to hold to increase your chance of employment?
Any major cons that you ca think of?
