well, I don't think there is any way I could convince anyone else in my party to get in the water. I still posted it here cause this is my homebase and I know some people know about inflatables around here.

Bummer. Well... you'll have a good time but it sure will be hard to see all that super diving potential and not be able to dive in.

Non-Diving friends. I guess living on an island with a high bear population in a tent for 2 weeks is extreme to them, but diving in the water is too much. My pops will be there, he was certified around 30 years ago, but he hung up his wetsuit long ago.

Shane seemed to think that was extreme and we only stayed a few days..... Oh.... and he didn't find out about the bears until the water taxi guy told him on the way back :D

I didn't find out about the bears until then either!

BTW... Justin.... for what you are going to be doing Snowbear's inflatable is just perfect and I understand it might be for sale! You should inquire.

With three of us plus full dive gear it was a bit exciting in the rollers outside of Resurrection Bay (Seward) but it did the job.

Snowbear, please PM some pictures and a price, I need to have it in Alaska anyhow, so might as well find one up there already

Justin, this link will get you started until Snowbear gets some more pics to you.
And here is a pic of Shane and myself in Prince William Sound in the Avon inflatable.

You'll definately want more than a 10' inflatable for 4 people. My 10'er(w/10hp) will barely get 3 people planed out on the water without gear. I would think the 13'er with 25hp would plane you out, but depending on how you pack(even w/o dive gear), you may be VERY cramped.
