Are there any indoor dive facilities open in the US that offer diving to depths greater than 20 feet? I googled it but the only facilities I found that were open are in Europe. I was on http://www.divedome.comand what a paradise that place would be. If anyone knows of any places that offers diving indoors with artificial reefs and structure let us know!!!!

OK, I'll bite...why do you want to dive indoors?

There are a fair number of aquarium dives. Probably all fairly shallow. Epcot has one for sure. There are a bunch of hot springs in caves in Utah, some of which are stocked with tropicals and are basically indoors, though it is a natural body of water.

Hop a plane, go to Cozumel. They have cheap rates on hotels now and it's really quiet after the hurricanes. Pretty inexpensive to get to for anyone in the East/Midwest, too. It'll beat any artificial reef you find indoors, anywhere. Or try the keys...also very inexpensive and easy to get to. I'm assuming you're trying to find tropical diving on the cheap?

You can also dive in some "retired" ICBM missile silos. Long climb for carrying equipment, but plenty deep.

Why the climb? The silos are buried in the ground and they usually stay pretty filled.

"divedome" appears to be a scam. The celebrity backers have been made up/used without permission, no work has been done, no planning permission has been obtained and appears to be just a holding company. In short, its a scam.

Keeping it back on topic - why would anyone WANT to dive indoor?

String,

who wants to go???? just the novelty of diving there makes it appeal to me... but one heck of trip to swim in a big pool... beginners would have a balst here, getting all your skills honed in super vis....
