We're flying out of Abu Dhabi via, United Arab Emirates - via Etihad airlines.

I guess since your based in AUH then Etihad is your carrier of choice (Frequent flyer miles?). However if you use Emirates you can go direct to Cebu / Clarke (Subic Bay) or direct to Bali.

Yes I'm from Abu Dhabi and other as Etihad because I have air miles.
I'll use Emirates or other carriers if I have to but I really prefer to use my miles on Etihad. Plus, the airport is 15 minutes away.

I know Emirates flies directly to Bali and what I could use my miles but obviously not because they're competitors.

But I don't intend on prohibiting myself from dive sites that Etihad doesn't fly to.
