Hi! - again, have been posting a few questions regarding this trip before...
ANYway, Im going to Indonesia 28-15 December and considering where to go. Its going to be either Komodo or Raja Ampat. And Im leaning towards budget liveaboard but not sure if its better to be land based.

What do you recomend or have experience with:
- Komodo: If I had travelled in aug-oct i would definitely go here, but I read December can be rainy..
- Raja Ampat: December is top season here, but it costs an takes time to get here.. I considering a 6/7 live aboard low / medium budget.

For low budget boat for Komodo please give Mona Lisa a miss unless you want to be eaten alive by bed bugs.
There are plenty not very complimentary posts on TripAdvisor about this boat.
Look under the mattress in any boat and if you see green leaves spread all over the wooden board. Then you should take notice. The leave is the local insect repellent which suppose to keep bed bugs away!! Fat chance.

My mate had to sleep on the deck during the whole trip!! The management is fully aware of the problem and the crew knew about it! Refund or compensation? Is there such a thing in Indonesia?
