Hi all
I am looking into new work locations and two of them are Oaklahoma City, and Indianapolis. Now mind you all, I don't have a very good idea about where all these places are, being as I am from the West coast and never have been past Reno, except in an aircraft, so I looked at a map and was suprised to see that Indy was close to one of the great lakes!
I was wondering if either place had "good" diving? any ideas?
I figure if I have to work away from home I at least could go to a place where I could dive at least part of the year.

Indy is about 2 1/2 hours south of Lake Michigan. There are wrecks to be seen in the lake for sure. Gilboa Quarry is also within driving distance. Certainly more opportunities than OK City!!!!

If you are going to be in Indy then you also have Blue Springs within 40 minutes of anyplace in Indy. Not a lake but a quarry. Decent diving for the midwest. There are also two others within a few minutes of BS.
There are two others north of Indy, probably about the same distance, France Park and Philips quarry. You also have Haugh quarry in IL that would be about 2 hours away. And the list goes on. Just depends upon what you want to dive and how much you want to travel.
Indy also has several LDS and are pretty decent from what I have seen.
Midwest Muck Divers have a post on here about a few of the dive spots in the area. I am not sure how many we have posted since we just started MMD.
