Sol - I know I know.... I have had a terrible sinus infection the last week or so and it kept me out of the pool yesterday night - DOH! I was hoping to have underwater pics by now. Anyway the dive pool is open for a block on MLKJ day and I have that day off - so as long as sinuses are in check then I will get to try it underwater which will be awesome. Itching to dive some... I dislocated my knee this past summer and I am just now starting to feel that I could handle pool time. Good motivation for PT though. Hoping to have that quad in good shape by the time pond dive season happens here in Colorado.

BTW- got some bolt snaps from DGE and got them on my second stages and spg. Also got a right hip D ring. I had $20 left on a gift card to Leisure Pro, so I got two of the single weight XS suba pouches to go on my cambands. I think that will solve my minor weight adjustments in the water issue. Still planning on wearing a weight belt though...

Also, on g1138's note: I am smack in between 5'6 and 5'7 and am one of those individuals that has a long torso, and the medium plate I think is perfect, but if I was shorter or if my torso was shorter, I would definitely want the shorter plate. Hubby is 5'11 and he would definitely want to order a longer plate.

Sounds like you're on a good track. Have a fun time and all once your sinuses clear up.

.....so.....how'd the pool dive go?

Finally! I got to try out my new setup in the pool! After all the sinus infections and fluey-ness - I have been feeling better and with President's Day off and a good size window of open pool time at the LDS - I took all of my new (and new to me gear) to the pool. At first, I really really liked it - my hubby used the LDS pool gear and then we switched so he could try the BPW and I took the jacket BC - THEN of course I really fell in love with the BPW. So much tank floppage with the jacket, I needed a lot more weight to get down in the jacket, the release weight pockets fell out of the jacket at one point.... Also tried playing around at the surface - no face planting or pushing forward, in fact we both felt it was easy to lean back on. I know this isn't the same as in rough water - but it was a pleasant surprise!

I think hubby wants one (BPW) now too, although I think he can go aluminum as he seemed a touch overweighted with the SS (he is warm bodied and usually wears only a skin for the Caribbean, so today he just had trunks on).

We did a lot of skill practice which was great and it definitely makes me want to go long hose primary, bungee necklace octo. Also, a good time to test out my knee recovery (bad accident last summer left if dislocated) - while I was fine for the pool - I definitely have more work to do before I am ready for AOW or a long dive trip.

Felt great to be back in the water - THANKS SCUBABOARD PEEPS!:D

That's great to hear!! I'm glad you liked your BPW!
