computers will have automatic signal response to DAN when the computer reads an extreme DSI possibility. They will have exact GPS location signals. And this is just the begining. All this is in the works now...It will be years aways though...
 
They must be expecting a lot of dcs hits (go figure). Maybe...in the future divers will invest in developing good skills and a well rounded base of diving knowlege. Rapid ascents, running out of breathing gas and buddy seperation will be things of the past. Divers will once again be the masters of their destiny and computers will be just another tool.
 
I wish but that's not the way the industry is heading. It's heading towards shorter classes...easier gear...One day they will have gear that dives for you, all you have to do is steer.
 
GPS EPIRBS are already a reality in the UK and divers are wearing them. DAN are not very prominent over here. They are about $1000 bucks and sit in a canioster thats waterproof to 100m. You take it out, turn it on and stick it around your neck if you need it
 
You guys get everything before we do. Keep us posted on all the new technology. You guys know about it before DEMA does.
