If you shoot macro you know that resolution is just one consideration
I have been frustrated with my A1 and 90mm and recently acquired a GH7
Here one of the reasons for going back to a smaller sensor for close up shots

Why the GH7 not the OM-1II?
The OM-1 is substantially weaker in the video department and more pixels are always better than less pixels.
In terms of IQ at the ISO values I use it also falls behind in terms of dynamic range. So for me it is not interesting.

For sure if you like to just take photos of fish and birds and want a smaller set up the OM-1 is the best option as the housing is much smaller and cheaper
