In Playa del Carmen now, need a couple of recommendations please

My husband and I are in Playa right now and had every intention of diving but didn't set anything up before we came. We have our three kids with us (12, 10, and 5) and also brought our babysitter. We would like to do a day of diving and would like to dive Cozumel (we had our honeymoon there 15 years ago before getting certified) and hear its the best of the two. We don't want to leave the kids and sitter for too long so maybe Cozumel is too big of a goal. Is there plenty to see in PDC? We dove Roatan the last two years, Little Cayman, Similans, Belize, and a few other places. I've searched here and have several ops written down, just looking for suggestions and how long of a day Coz would be. Thanks!

I've been out with Tank-Ha twice and they do a direct trip to Coz from Playa. They park their boat on the beach at calle 8, their shop is on calle 10 across the street from the beer bucket. Their trip leaves in the AM and is typically back between noon and 1, in plenty of time for their afternoon boat dives. Will use them again. In the past when I've taken the ferry over I didn't get back until between 3-5 depending on how long we took for lunch.

As long as you're there do yourself a favor and stop at Babes Noodle bar. My favorite Playa restaurant! It's also on calle 10 just west of 5th ave on the north side of the street.
