Hey all,
Headed down to the outerbanks(near kitty hawk) for labor day week with the family and some friends. Unfortunately I'm the only diver in the group and not very familiar with OBX diving.

Since it is a "family" vacation I was hoping to do some shore diving during either the morning or afternoon so that I can spend the rest of the day with the group.
Any recommendations on dive sites, dive shops or volunteers to buddy with?

In addition I was planning on doing at least one full day dive trip, probably through Olympus in moorehead ( I have dove a couple of times with them and can highly recommend the shop). Though I love olympus, I have dove most of the "standard" Beufort dives. Anything of interest up north towards kitty hawk?

Any help would be appreciated

A trip to NC is a terrible thing to waste by not diving

I am scheduled to be in Carolina Beach Wilmington later today for diving Saturday and Sunday.....I think it is iffy right now, and if anything goes I kind of think it will be a braile dive.

You can shore dive at the Trianlge Wrecks. This year the conditions haven't been great, but it is a nice shore dive. There are buoys that mark it. Look on OBX's website for shore diving to get info.
Dive with Johny at Outer Banks Diving in Hatteras. If you can't find a budd, there are usually enough on board to team you up.
