WOODMAN:
don't let contact with sharks scare you away from what could be a really memorable experience. Woody

Famous last words? lol...just kidding

Ill check out the Shark Forum. Thanks!

If you do the shark feed dive with Stuart Coves, all you will see(or at least all we saw) were Caribbean reef sharks up to about 8 feet(and you see alot of them). No Tigers(I would love to see them though). Oh and Black groupers up to about 200 lbs.(very cool).

I'd love to dive with Tiger Sharks and take pics!!

I've seen pictures of this off of Bimini. Looks awesome!!

So far I've only dived with Caribean Reef Sharks. I'm always trying to get closer/better pics :D

Most shark attacks occur in shallow murky water. Those conditions are nothing like the Bahamas dive sites I've been to. We're talking 45 to 100' depth with 100'+ visibility.

If you let your fear of sharks keep you out of the water, you're going to miss out on a lot of great diving!!

Best of luck on your trip!!

Is the Diving supposed to be good in the Bahamas? I just noticed that Bahamas is almost NEVER mentioned anywhere in the Sport Diver magazine which is my fave.

It is very, very good in spots. The shark dive in Nassau with SC was my best dive ever. Other great spots-Small Hope Bay in Andros, San Salvador, Bimini, Cat and Long islands.

Have been to Atlantis and Stuart Cove on three trips. Bring lots of $$$ for Atlantis but its a great place to stay. Getting a little crowed as it continues to expand but may be less of an issue in November. Check out the "Dig". Would go down and walk through it early each morning - the sea life is outstanding, would make a great dive!!

Stuart Cove is a very good operation. The bus ride from Atlantis gets a little old but its worth it for a good day of diving. Don't expect world class reefs but the wrecks are fun and definitely do the Shark Dive - its a great experience.

Is that with the Stuarts Cove operation or in the Bahamas in general not having good reef?

speaking of stuart cove's shark dives, what's the difference between the shark awareness class and just the shark dives alone?

do you actually get a c card, or is it a marketing gimmick?
