My girlfriend. Is going to be getting implants. We have asked her doctor and looked over the DAN website, which would be the best for her being we love to wreck dive and she wants to be more tech. It was great they told you about each kind. However she is still a bit nervous. So we figured why not post it, maybe someone out there has them and can give her some pointers. I think her fear is the first time in the water. I told her to look on the bright side she will become a safety device and can float us back to shore or be the diver below buoy.

:D

My exwife still works as an instructor and dives at least 10 times a week. She has implants and hasn't complained.

enticing as this subject may be to some of us, let's please keep it
reasonably on topic

Mythbusters did a show on the effects of pressure on breast implants.

Action/Results: Jamie simulates taking the implant on a deep sea dive (in which he nearly loses his hearing when a seal blows on the vacuum chamber) then flying it in a jet, still with no change. The boys declare this myth busted, and end their day with some frivolous food science.

Dr. Richard Vann of Duke University Medical Centre, a specialist in hyperbaric studies, has experimented with implants in hyperbaric chambers and has seen no patients with complications.

There is one study on the morphological changes in silicone vs saline. There was the woman whose life was spared when she was speared by a marlin and her lung was sealed by the implant and credited with saving her life.

Maybe you should have deleted my post. She would kick the crap out of me if she knew I posted that. :D
