iMovie

I have a new GoPro ready for vacation in a few months, and I'm curious if I need to get any software to edit clips, add music, and maybe do some color correction. Probably will want to be able to then convert my video for YouTube. I've seen people talking about Adobe, Corel, Sony etc, but can't I do this in iMovie? Thanks in advance!

Yes iMovie works fine with the gopro files. Another alternative on apple is adobe premiere elements.
you can also use cineform to perform color correction before importing to imovie
