Not sure if this is the right place or not, or if anyone is interested, but I recently came across this

Rescue diver from China who saved three from sunken cargo ship to be recognized with IMO bravery accolade

If the picture in the article is accurate, the diving kit looks interesting to say the least.

At first glance, it’s a band mask off of a scuba cylinder, but if you look closely, the bailout is plumbed into the sideblock, there’s a hose connected to the main gas fitting, which appears to be wrapped around his belly once..and the tender in the foreground has a SSDE umbilical in his hand....I’m guessing the hose just hangs down somewhere that you don’t see it, making it look like an idiot with a band mask off a scuba cylinder!

Thanks, I missed the umbilical in the foreground, only noticed the ropes in the background. That makes a lot more sense. Still a good effort though
