does anyone have any info on equalization?? im deaf in one ear and i dont have an ear drum in my left ear! its a whole long story but can i still dive?? does anyone know? im going to my ear doc. i think next week and im really scared that he wont clear me!!! :11:

your best bet is to make sure he is a diving qualified doctor. the most important thing is equalise the pressure in your ear canal.
my husband is also deaf - and also doesnt have an inner ear in his left ear (are you twins?!) and he can dive just fine. because it is all one open system (just like your mask-nose-breath) he has no issues with equalisation.
where he does have issues is weakness due to operations that might be affected at depth.
to date & depth (38m/117') he has not imploded his head yet!
but..... he took things very very very slowly and carefully checking for his depth susceptibility progressively over a number of dives:
eg 3m in pool, then 6m o/water, then 10m, then 16m, then 20m, then 25m, then 30m, then 35m, then 38m over a period of a few months.

best of luck - but always listen to your doctor.
