If you have reviewed the material and understand it you should be good to go.
If a verbal test would work better for you for whatever reason most places (if not all)will give you a verbal test.

You will do well. This is the beginning of a long, lovely, and wonderfull road. Any potholes you find now prepare you for avoiding them in the future.

Good Luck!!

Best thing to do is to relax and not worry about the test. Stress(worry) can cause you to make mistakes you wouldn't otherwise make. If you felt like you understood the material during class then you should be just fine. As other have noted, review the text and answer any questions you find there. If there is a workbook, then review that also and make sure you have answered all the questions and worked all the problems in it. The NAUI exam has a time limit(not sure if others do also) but there is much more time allowed than most people need. Read each question and each possible response and make sure you understand the questions and the possible answers before answering. If you don't understand a question please ask to have it explained to you.

Good luck!!

thing as with one of the rules of diving....... If you are anxious, nervous, stressed out... stop / think / and then act. Work on your tables and make sure you do understand them. Your pool skills will be ok providing you take your time and have fun. The skills and test are not timed, don't forget to blow bubbles when the reg is out of yours mouth!!! Good luck and tell us how you did. Maria

Nooooo problem to ya!

If you've made it this far you cant fail! All you gotta do is re-do the stuff you did throughout your OW course!

You'll ace it!

Keep us posted :D

I'm going to take my written and pool test on thursday for OW and I'm really nervous. Anyone have any tips for me?

So tell us, how did you do?
Maria

Dont feel bad. . . .I failed my test 4 times. . . .Im now the best diver out of the whole class that I took my cert with. I also had to do my open water in 58 degree water, and 10 feet visibility (oh the joys of Canada) You should do just fine or at least better than I did on my written tests. . . .

if there is one that has to do with helping a diver itsalways establish positive bouyancy
