Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I did it! Today I purchased a custom shoulder entry DUI Trilam: zip seals, rock boots, and hood. I also got the DUI suspender weight system. I tried on both the front entry and the shoulder entry, and because of my build, I found it easier to get into the shoulder entry----much less expensive also. One down and two to go. Next, will be my 30 cu. ft. sling pony, and last, a BP/wings system. I hope to have all of this by the next M & G. Ber, I'm going to Toby with you guys this year.:D:D:D:D:D:D

I like the shoulder entry suits too. At least I am not pretending that they are "self donning"! :-)

Congrats...looks like you are dropping a big chunk of money on dive gear this year.

Congrats Denny! Looking forward to seeing the new suit. It should provide you with years of great diving.

With all of these new toys at the M&G, you'll be like a kid the day after Christmas!

Hey, what are dive buddies for anyways? My last dry was also shoulder entry so no big adjustment. Even with the front entry, It seemed I would still need help to get the zipper started.

I might look like a dork also trying to get adjusted to all this stuff, especially the BP/wings if I have it by then. I'm also going to get a steel 100 or 120; that will take some weight adjustment too. I'll get the suit in about 4 weeks.:D

Hey, at my age, this is probably the last big "chunk" I'll be dropping. This stuff should take me well into my late 70's. (God willing---and I hope He is!!)

I'd sure love to see it! I hope I can make it this year. The Spring M&G is always tough for me due to it being club soccer season. On that thought ... we may want to start trying to pick a date. With Diver Brian being pretty much AWOL, I believe leadership falls to Barracuda2, Ber Rabbit, Mitten Diver and gtxl583872683090 (or whatever # comes after the letters ... can never remember!).

I'll also be in new gear. I'm doubling up my E7-100s and preparing to do TDI Intro to Tech and Adv. Nitrox/Deco Procedures this year. I'll still be ironing out the doubles, so we can dive together and make a pact not to laugh at each other!

New toys! YAY! Right now we're hoping for a warm water trip instead of Tobermory but airfare is going to be the deciding factor. Right now Toby is looking pretty good with $400 airfare to Nassau PLUS the cost of hotel/food/diving. We did Toby last year for $600 each for everything. Hard for warm water destinations to compete with that :D

I'm the one you want to dive with in doubles if you need a no-laughing pact. Well, I won't laugh at you but you can feel free to laugh at me. The only thing I'm good at in doubles is looking funny but I EXCEL at it :rofl3: Believe me, you'll look like a pro diving beside me :dork2:
Ber :lilbunny:
