and best wishes to you both!

I agree, New Zealand is a wonderful country. I was there on vacation this past March, and it was awesome. While I didn't have a chance to get any diving in, I have heard that Poor Knight's island is one of great dive sites of the world - or so says Jacques Cousteau.

Everyone in New Zealand was so friendly - traveling through the country without a set plan will pose no problems for you. If you have the time, stop by in Waitomo and do some black water rafting or abseiling in the Lost World - awesome!!!

Hi All.

I'm getting married on Friday to Caroline Brady :kissy: . Amongst other things she has been one of the best dive buddies anyone could ever ask for. We enjoyed a week together on a liveaboard in the red sea, getting up for first dives at 6am, seeing sharks, turtles, octopuss, diving wrecks, reefs and walls and generally having fun.

We're off to New Zealand in November for our honeymoon where we hope to see everything from the Glaciers to the Volcanos and to do a little diving along the way.

Dave

Best wishes and a long life of diving together!

Being married to your dive buddy is one of the best things in life!

My wife and I have been diving togather for nearly 20 years, it was something I'll never regret, diving at destinations throughout the world is what we dream about. Doing something that you both enjoy is a great recipe for a marriage. I always tell my friends when they say is'nt diving expensive that " diving is a whole lot cheaper than a lawyer!"

Dive Safe,
Caymaniac:wink:

I know a diver who searched for over 20 years to find a suitable diving mate. Welcome to the ranks of the "lucky" ones!

Not long after we met my wife overheard me tell somone else at a party that I couldn't marry a woman that didn't dive. Two weeks later she was taking a course. I had my chance to run... quite happy I didn't!

BTW there is nothing like saving each other's life a few times to cement a pair bond!

Well done. I live in Auckland, New Zealand. If you want to travel and dive than plan for a trip up north and head for The Poor Knoghts Islands. If you want to hook up with me to get some of the local info than my cellphone number is 021 251 4398.
I can hook you up with the better operators and where to pick up rental gear and tanks at reasonable rates. I can point you to the best interest places if you're looking for wrecks, caves, marine life and tell you about the sites. Just let me know. I am a member of a local dive club that has regular trips out. have a great wedding.
Cheers soon to be married ears,
The Gasman
