Thanks Orans, I'm in Curacao and speak the language lol.

I kinda figured you knew what it ment being on Curacao...thought it might be fun keeping to newbies guessing. Nothing makes my day better than that first hug from the dive shop manager at Buddy and a warm welcome home dushi....dang this is not helping the PBD.

NEW NEWS.... 1 PERSON AT DL ROCKS
SHE IS GETTING US OUT TOMORROW ATL/SJU/BON

150 canceld flights yesterday due to bad weather in Atlanta - 6 SLOW AGENTS working tkt ctr - 18 positions avail - total Cluster fluck at the airport - at least 500 people waiting to check in with 6 agents, we waited 1.5 hrs in line after 30 minutes in the kiosk line. we got to the check in ctr 30 mintes before our departure time, they gave us some line about having to be checked in 1 hr before the flight - WELL WE COULD BE IF THERE WAS ENOUGH AGENTS WORKING THE CHECK IN!!!. I checked in and checked my bags via the kiosk but 3 others in the group could not get checked in through the kiosk so we had to wait in a MASSIVE line to get checked in. I waited with them as 1 was my buddy - I never leave my buddy!

they held the plane to get my bags off but they would not hold the plane to let us on - how screwed up logic is that!!!!!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU TO THE ONE PERSON AT DELTA WHO ACTUALLY GAVE A DIP THAT WE WERE GOING TO MISS OUT ON OUR TRIP

Nice to hear you got taken care of, not so nice to hear it was a royal PITA. We are going on the Delta flight, too (next month), so I hope this was not business as usual.

Have fun once you get there!

Any caves in Bonaire? :D

Glad to hear you're finally getting out...

Welcome to Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport... :shakehead:

OMG, what a horrible experience!! Glad to know that you found someone who will take care of you and you'll only lose one day....though that stinks too. At least you'll be on Bonaire soon and enjoying the sunshine and diving freedom. Definitely looking forward to reading that you made it and are having a great time diving. :D

Lynn, yes there are caves on Bonaire, but they are fresh water caves that you can only snorkel in, no diving. Looks like you'll have to stick to Florida and the Cenotes in Mexico...to name but 2 cave locations. ;)

They have "cavern snorkeling" available which I found to be a huge oxymoron!! :D:D
