I'm going into the Navy. Looking for Commercial diving jobs

I have 3 weeks Untill I join the Navy under the Seabees, currently I'm a certified topside welder in all of the ASME and GMAW processes. I've been unable to find current careers in underwater welding. I was hoping to get any input on the career and passion I've chosen for my future.

Good luck on your enlistment. The military is a great experience.

Though as an ex-Army guy myself, I've got to question your judgement. Ain't enough bars or women on them floating tin cans. :)

As ex-USAF, I agree completely! In fact, Wijbrandus, yours is an understatement. ZERO bars (unless you are lucky enough to visit a British ship), and what women there are, screwing them is illegal.

On a somewhat more serious note, I think allowing women on blue-water Navy ships was a bad personnel decision, but subsequently banning sex was an AWFUL decision. From what I read and hear, tensions became unbearable, and violations are rampant :11:
