Ok, I had a partial flood of my Ikelite housing, just enough to ruin the camera, but not a total flood. Now, will the housing need to be checked out (the flood was not the fault of the housing) or is it still ok to use once I replace the camera? Can it's electronics short or are they protected?

Mike

I think the electronics can be damaged...I know when my Subal flooded, the housing itself was good to go, but I had to have the electronics inside replaced so I sent the whole thing in.

Contact Ikelite directly or maybe the guys at Reef?

Sorry to hear the camera got toasted!

Just call Ikelite and get an RMA number and send it in.
They are a great company to deal with directly. I send my housings in every 18-24 months depending on how much saltwater I dive. They only charge about $125 to rebuild my DSLR housing, not replacing electronics. Last time they even turned it in about a week.

I dropped them a email. I will see what they say.

Mike
