Hey folks. I have the Canon G6 with the Ikelite TTL housing and an Inon 100 WA (67mm) lens. I need to find a way to tether/mount the lens to the housing. The stuff I have found searching on the web does not seem to be applicable to my needs. Anyone found a good solution?

Thanks

Susan

Really looking for the dock. I have figured out the tether (at least I think I have). The lense has an indented channel that will take a tie clip wed to another tie clip to a retractor (with rotating capability to be able to screw lens on) and has a clip to remove the retractor pressure.

Haven't dove with it yet but really enjoy it above water, lot's of camera for the price. I picked up a used body on ebay for $385 so I have insurance for less than the cost of a pricier camera. Have you used it UW, any tips? I got the Ikelite TTL 125 strobe as well.

Thanks

Susan

I have not used it under water yet either... I work at night club in Daytona so I have to wait a month or so to dive again... Spring break/bike week/BCR keeps me up late in march. But I believe Inon makes a lense caddy or tray which could mount to the housing tray or a strobe arm.

Take a look at this dock http://www.gbundersea.com/dld.htm It's very simple but can only hold one lense.

The bottom of this page you will start to see the Inon lense holders (more on next) http://www.inonamerica.com/products.php?prodcat=5&subcat=1&pagenum=2

These are made to fit the Inon strobe arms but maybe someone has info on other ways of attaching?

Hey just got a moment from my busy schedule...
I was able to take out my G6 for the first time on Thursday, it worked flawlessly* and I am very impressed with the Ikelite housing. It is a little different operating procedures than my canon A520 and Canon housing but I liked it.

*working flawlessly means the mechanical aspect of my dive worked well, however my knowledge of this camera is still growing. Also the Visibility 8-20 miles off Daytona Beach is not even remotely spectacular (besides 58 degree water). I will post some pics from my nearly blind dive in another thread later. ;)
