OMG, we had talked just before Christmas and I was waiting on a call back from him. I am totally in shock. My heartfelt condolences to all of his family and friends in their hour of grief. The world has indeed lost a bit of it's creativity and resourcefulness.

So sad to hear. Never met Ike, but he was always helpful to others, whether they needed help with his stuff or he was just posting a helpful answer about a problem with someone else's product. He'll leave big shoes to fill in the UW photography/lighting world as well as just losing another great guy.
