Then there is building fishing rods, buying and refurbishing antique straight razors. I shave with 100 year old razors.
Now that sounds cool.....

If I wasn't so addicted to diving, the first thing I would do is move back to Alberta from Vancouver Island. Although it is beautiful here, the cost of the ferry is getting way out of control. When ferry fares comprise 30 to 40 percent of my holiday expenses, it is way too much.
Once back in Alberta I would spend as much time as possible camping and hiking in Kananaskis Country.Might even try backpacking in the mountains. Lots of great areas to explore.
In the fall I would be in the bush looking for a buck, elk or moose to provide meat for the freezer.

My surface intervals are much longer than I'd likeI remember reading somewhere that "life is what happens underwater, everything else is surface interval".
Great photos!!I am retired after 30+ years in the RCAF, so I have plenty of time for hobbies. Unfortunately, being on a pension does not leave as much money as I would like for these hobbies. Right now, I have three hobbies that I try to balance and two of those are intertwined. I dive, I am an avid photographer (not only underwater, but everything from landscapes, to astro-photography, car racing (although I haven't been to a race in several years) and airshows. I also shoot "competitively". I shoot IDPA - the International Defensive Pistol Association.
If I couldn't dive, I would probably focus my time, energy and money into the other two. I have always wanted to travel to Iceland and photograph the "Fire & Ice", and to go to Wales for a week or so photographing the "Mach Loop" or Death Valley not only for the Landscapes and Night sky, but also a quick side trip to the "Jedi Transition".
Just for giggles, here are a few pics that I have shot over the years:
