I'm not sure that I would agree with 1 & 3. I quite often hold my breath when taking a shot. As long I'm neutral, there's no issue, and it's only for a few seconds I would do that. As for 3, yes you can afford to shoot as much as you can provided you have the memory for it, but I find it more valuable of a learning tool to give some thought to properly composing your shot and to think about your settings rather than shooting too many hoping to get one decent shot. Not that there aren't times that that technique would be beneficial, but all I'm saying is that it is worthwhile to give some thought to your shots.
