If you could take a diving vacation anywhere and anytime, where and when would you go?
(You must use the diving technology of the time)

I would choose the suit designed by Alphonse and Theodore Carmagnolle in Marseille 1878.

I would like to see what advances they come up with a hundred years from now imagine being able to dive for 12 hrs straight no deco and no side effects

As a fan of science fiction I've actually had thoughts along those lines occasionally. All (dive) vacations would have great weather. The only other divers would be the people I brought with me, and the reefs would still be pristine and undiminished by the activities of mankind. And if anybody ever tells me, "man, you should have been here yesterday", I was.

Don't be ridiculous. I'm a freakin' time traveler. I can use any technology that's ever invented.

I would travel 100 years forward to see what it was like but dive with stuff that's about 40 years old by today's standards ;)

I'd go back to 1985 or so (and be certified then of course, with relatively modern equipment), which was probably prior to all the fuss about shell collecting. Then my destination would probably be the GBR or somewhere in Oceania, which is the most diverse mollusc area having been where they first started to evolve.

Permian era dive gear? No need for integrated weights. Your granite 2nd stage will keep you on the bottom!
