Time has come to start designing the Kelp Divers website. I would appreciate ideas on how to design it and help in doing so. At this point the following seem like good ideas:

California photo albums

Picture of the week

Current dive conditions

Links to diving resources such as boats, shops, etc.

Interviews with California dive notables such as boat captains or leaders of professional organizations. Any roving reporters out there?

Monthly featured SB members

Group dive announcements

How about some other ideas. Please respond to this same message on Norcal Site. I am assuming all of California Kelp Divers is one website. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

There will be some templates we can use, Or if we want we can start from scratch and do our own thing. Sounds more practical to start with a template and evolve. Probably need separate section for Norcal and Socal. Any help appreciated on links etc from Socal.

I thought PhotoTJ was doing the southcal site from the posts from NetDoc a little bit ago. Not sure if they were going to make two diffrent site or have two people working on the same site just differnet areas..

A couple of ideas:

1. EZ one: A current condition section where reports can be posted. The format of the board is not necessarily great for that.

2. Not so EZ one: a Zagat-like section where dive boats could be rated and all of their features listed.

I think you may be right Scott, I will check. I just dont know if there will be separate sites for Norcal and Socal. We will find out more as things get sorted out. It would be great to join forces.

I dunno if there are going to be one or two, I've been working on a few things under the assumption that it's going to be split. I like all the ideas and suggestions, let's see what they give us, and procede from there.

(keep 'em coming!)
