IDC Suggestions

I should have changed the title to be something different...but I am looking for IDC suggestions. Who are some good ones that people have went to or have heard some things about?

Okay forgive me if I posted this in the wrong forum but I couldn't find anywhere else to post it.

I am looking to do my IDC towards the end of this year and trying to find a good place to do it. I have had some exposure to a few locations that offer it but not really buying in to the way they do things. The one that I have been leaning towards is GoPro Cayman with Ash McKnight.

I am not looking for a party atmosphere. I am looking to know everything about diving there is to know. I do live in the states right now and doing it locally is not an option for me. Where I live there are no IDC centers.

Any advice anyone can give m would be great. Really just who are some recommended IDC centers and CD's?

The program is outstanding and I believe you won't be disappointed. The diving is pretty darn good too. Maybe not Cayman quality, but much better than I ever believed was available in the U.S.

without any hesitation i would recommend you this divecentre:
Utila Dive Centre in Utila, Honduras. They have been rated the best career development center worldwide the last few years in a row and the two CD's there (Andy and Suzy) are really professional with what they do. I've done almost all my courses with this shop and seen a lot of people passing through there and almost all of them found good jobs afterwards in the diving industry because of the good teaching you get there. besides that it's a shop that's always good fund and you meet people from all around the globe.

Dave, I used the PADI Website to find 5 Star IDC Stores in the Pittsburgh area and came up with two stores. If you use this URL you can put in your exact location: Find a dive shop, scuba diving shop, dive resort or scuba dive shop

So I'm not sure why you indicated that there are no IDC centres near you. ???
