Can anyone ID this eel? I know it is pretty well hidden but it appeared to be solid white and was seen in the Bay of Thailand at Shark Rock.

Hi Mase,

It is well hidden. Could it be a "Gymnothorax (Siderea) griseus" commonly known as Geometric moray? I remember seeing a few of them in the area. We would have to look at more photos if you have and have an idea of its size to be sure!

Didn't see the black spots on the head and thought the Geometric eel was not in this area. Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have better pictures.

Shark Island Koh Tao?

If so there has been a resident Albino moray eel there for a few years now .

Looks the same from the picture, was it taken at the south east corner near the soft coral gardens?

Yes, the picture was taken at Shark Island, Koh Tao however I can't recall the exact location. I thought it might be an albino. Thanks for the info.
