After getting delayed and arriving late to the Conestoga site (sorry DrownedRat, I owe you a dive) I decided to use the rest of the afternoon to go look at the sites I'm familiar with and let you all know what I saw.

So here, from East to West:
  • Conestoga (Cardinal ON) - open water about 6' other side of wreck. Ice closer to shore.
  • Prescott Scuba Playground - patches of wet ice (thinner?) throughout area, open water approx 25 - 30' from shore.
  • Rothesay (Prescott) - iced over. Can't even see the buoys (I presume they're under the snow somewhere)
  • Centine Park (Brockville) - iced over.
  • Rockport - iced over.
  • Ivy Lea - I'm not sure about the exact entry point used as I haven't been there myself, but throughout the area was patches of open water alternating with completely iced over areas.
  • Marine Museum (Kingston) - iced over
  • Portsmouth Olympic Harbour (Kingston) - iced over

There you have it. Be sure to keep an eye on your favorite sites as ice conditions vary day to day.............

SOS Ottawa pulls in the buoys in the fall so they don't get pulled downstream by the ice in the spring.

You'll find them in a garage in Kanata, but it's a long line to follow to get to the wreck
