I know nothing about the Grand...but we stay at the IB at least 3-4 times a year. Guess that makes us regulars, so they give us a few more things...like our choice of rooms(if it's available for the week), extra nights dining at the specialty restaurants, special dinner requests for our birthdays if we are staying at that time, fruit baskets, T-shirts, etc.etc. We love the place..but I have to agree with cv(imagine that) that the entrance to the water from the beach absolutely sucks!!!..however, snorkeling around the pier and along the beach can be good.
They recently remodeled there buffet...more choices and good food. They also redid their outside auditorium where they have the night shows...and it's really nice(except for the mosquitoes).
I use Dive with Martin for my op...and they only charge $1.00/person/day to pick up there. I don't think that's unreasonable.
Good luck deciding....and much fun diving in Coz.

Actually, chief, the timeshare owners get the equivalent of the Royal Club. That's what you buy into.

You sure? The place we toured was nice and you could get bigger than the normal, but I don't remember it including ALL those royal club extras. That is a crapload extra stuff.....

Oh, yeah, I'm a First Club owner. ;) Wanna be my guest?

Once it is paid for, you get two people for 1100 for one week. Add another week, and it's 700 for two. All inclusive, including alcohol, and the members get top shelf stuff.

The local dive op cost me $30 per tank.

L,

As chief said, anyone can get the 'special' treatment, you just have to upgrade to it.

The time share owners paid for that special treatment. What is wrong with that?

I thought the class separation gone away with the titanic.

Were also First Club members. Love it. Use it several times a year...in fact going back in April and bringing several dive friends with us and extended family. I can honestly say that after being a member for 5 years and over a dozen trips, we'd do it again.
