I550 O-ring replacement

I need to replace the O-ring in my i550 computer. I have many batteries and silicon for the job......all I need is a O-ring and some spares. I have been told from my LDS and Aqualung that the only way to replace is to buy the $16 service kit (battery, 1 O-ring, silicon). Call me crazy but $32 for 2 O-rings seems unreasonable.......does anyone have a better idea/suggestion? The catch to all this is that the Aqualung user manual specifically states that the O-ring must be a genuine Aqualung part purchased through a authorized dealer or the warranty is void.

It takes an AS B026 (11/4"x1/16") Oring. You can buy them in any Oring store for about 10 cents apiece, depending on the quantity.
