If you get your DM cert and buy your own insurance I will let you volunteer as a DM during my classes. Actually, I didn’t have anything in mind. I just figured that if your credentials and desires were out there it may help someone else help you.

i am looking for a volunteer program that i can move away to do. it sucks for diving living in birmingham al. does any one know where i can find a place or site that can help me?

Hi my name is Kurt and I have been interesrted in doing volunteer work(Diving) for quite some time know and have not been that successful at finding anything. I always thought that volunteer work should be relativley "FREE" , but some of these sights want as much as $5000 for the opportunity to work ?????

Just wondering if you had any luck and if you had would you share the info

Thanx
Kurt

I have not had too much luck, but the idea of volunteering with the fire department was a good idea. so i went down to my local fire department headquarters and they sent me in the right way.no rescue dives yet, but they tell me it wouldn't be long.

Now if any of you are into some serious hardcore, no diving, actually make-a-difference and change your life forever volunteering, you might want to consider:
Doctors Without Borders at:
MSF-USA: Doctors Without Borders

I think you are allowed to dive, but only with a bullet proof vest, and watch for land mines on your shore dives.
