I wasn't robbed on Curacao either!!!

My wife and I are just back from 15 days on Curacao, and had no bad experiences at all.

We went to remote dive sites (San Juan area) as well as some just off the road (Playa Jeramy) and always found everything just as we left it when we started the dive. Even saw some police patrols around the beach parking lots; not much, but they were there occasionally.

We stayed on the west side at All West Apartments, and Louis the owner has done a lot to beef up security. Dead bolts on the doors, security cameras, etc.

I am just getting started working on my photos from the trip; I'll post some and a report soon.

Thanks for the note about police patrol presence on beaches that don't have an entry fee for use. We'll take our 4th trip to Curacao in Sep. 2010. We have not done any shore diving in the San Juan area nor Playa Jeremi on our prior trips.

Jeremi is really nice, isn't it? We enjoyed its pristine, uncrowded condition, but heard that condos may be built there soon. Thanks for your post, and I encourage you to post more info and pics when you get the chance.

That can be tempered by planning a next trip, and alleviated temporarily by actually taking next such trip . . .
