Another feature related to the BC worth checking is your weight system - integrated vs. belt vs. combination. I found my buoyancy, streamlining, etc., changed for the better when I finally decided on the right configuration and distribution. Your BC should provide options, eg, integrated weight pockets, trim pockets, nothing.
