DORSETBOY:
nice! where you teaching? what's the diving like in Taz?

I will be teaching in the small town of Wynyard at the Wynyard scuba centre.
Tassie diving is really great. It is summer here at the moment so the season is really hotting up. When i get my act together i will do an article on diving in Tassie so you can all see what it is like. Some of my favorite spots are on the East Coast in Bicheno, N/W coast Wynyard to Rocky Cape further west but the shallow waters of the Bass Strait and prevailing winds soon stir up the bottom and reduce the viz, but the good thing about Tassie is it is an island and if you have the time you can travel to get a dive almost anywhere. We often travel to the East Coast during winter to soak up 30+meters viz and some deep diving because on the N/W coast it is often howling westerly and the water it often to stirred up to dive in.
Anyway thank you all for your well wishes have a great christmas and new year and stay safe. Kind reguards STUEY2

Well folks i finally done it. I am quitting my full time job as a spray-painter and gone for the job that is alot better for my health. I have accepted a job at my dive facility as a full time scuba instructor so i am finally going to be doing the work that i love to do and getting out of the chemical cocktail that i have worked in for the last 9 years and enjoying the rigours as a fulltime instructor.

Stuey2, you know you've made the right choice. No doubt about it.

Well - first off - congratulations!!! Second - your title is pretty misleading, especially in this category :) I was ready to give you the "Don't- give -up -diving - it -REALLY- is -great-speech" - but never mind - you just took the wind right out of my sails :frown:

Go for the brass ring!!!!!!!!! I'm retiring from 33 years of electrical engineering in a year, and then I will be full time instructing. I wish you the best.
